A Spoonful of Local Honey Keeps Hayfever Down?

Share the News

Spring is only just arriving but as we’ve travelled around Worthing and West Sussex to run classes, school clubs and parties, we’ve noticed that the lawn mowers are out. We’ve also noticed a few of the children are getting itchy or running noses and watery red eyes. Signs of that dreaded Hayfever?

Some of the teachers have noticed it too.

There are all kinds of expensive artificial medicines but what about natural remedies? Mrs Stringer at Upper Beeding school swears by a spoonful of local honey. She’s not alone, go on Google and there are lots of claims that . The Telegraph talks about honey derived from Manuka crops???

Don’t know about that but we’re keen to find a source of affordable local honey for our kids.

Can anybody recommend some?
